Both teams to score (BTTS)

Whether each side scores at least once, regardless of who wins.

Definition

BTTS = yes when both teams score at least once (1-1, 2-1, 3-2, 2-2…); no when either side is shut out (1-0, 2-0, 0-0).

What moves it

It is the most style-sensitive market: two open attacks push it up, a defensive block plus a blunt attack pulls it down. Across most leagues it hovers near 50%.

FAQ

Does a 3-0 count as BTTS?

No — one team failed to score. It is over 2.5, but not BTTS.

Is BTTS the same as over 2.5?

No. 1-1 is BTTS but under 2.5; 3-0 is over but not BTTS.
